高校在学中、東京・銀座で買い物中に芸能事務所「ビッグアップル」勤務のスタッフにスカウトされて芸能界入りした
スカウトされたんですね。高校生の頃から綺麗な方で声をかけてしまうくらい惹かれるものがあったのでしょうね。今は事件が多い世の中になってしまったのでスカウトされても警戒してしまいますよね
芸能界ではどんな活動をしていたの？
1987年「ビーバップ・ハイスクール高校与太郎行進曲」のヒロイン役で映画デビュー。
ビーバップハイスクールに出演されていたんですね。しかもデビュー作がビーバップハイスクールとは怖くなかったのでしょうかね？
以前出演していたある女優が恐怖で怯えた訳は？
以前清水宏次朗さんがテレビでビーバップ秘話を語っていて、中山美穂さんがヒロインで出演された時中山さんもデビュー間もない頃で、まわりに不良役の方がたくさんいて撮影中に怖くてずっと怯えていてかわいそうだったと言っていました。
確かに！エキストラの方も含め不良役の方がたくさん出演していましたからね。
五十嵐さんもデビュー作品で不良たちに囲まれてきっと怖かったですよね
その後も連続ドラマ「少女コマンドーIZUMI」に出演。自身の名前がドラマタイトルになっていますね。このドラマ終了後も数々のドラマに出演したが10代を過ぎた頃から注目はされていなかったそうです。やはり女優さんも新しい方たちがどんどん出てきますから“競争率”が激しそうですもんね
日本テレビ朝の連続ドラマに！！
10代を過ぎ低迷期が続いていましたが4年ぶりに大役が？！ということで調べてみました
1991年度下期の日本テレビで放送されていた朝の連続ドラマ「華の宴」のヒロインに最年少（当時22歳）で抜擢され、約4年ぶりに連続ドラマの主演についた。
日本テレビでも朝の連続ドラマなるものが放送されていたんですね。第1話が9月30日、最終話が翌年3月27日とありましたから半年間と長い放送だったのですね。お疲れ様でした。
その後「ホリプロ」に移籍し女優としての活動を続けていた
アイドル歌手としてもデビュー
1987年ビーバップハイスクールの映画公開とあわせシングル曲「スカイバレー」でアイドル歌手としてもデビューした。
女優さんだとばっかり思っていたのでアイドル歌手として活動していたとは知らなかったです。曲を聞いたことがなかったのでこれを期に聞いてみようと思います。
ドラマ「少女コマンドーIZUMI」の挿入歌となった「エスケイプ！」も売り上げはよかったそうです
五十嵐淳子と血縁関係がある？
俳優の中村雅俊さんの妻、五十嵐淳子さん
ネットで五十嵐いづみと検索すると五十嵐淳子さんの名前がヒットします
どうやら血縁関係があるとの噂です
この件について調べてみましたが
血縁関係はありませんでした
同じ「五十嵐」姓でなんとなく雰囲気も似ているのでしょうかね？
結婚して引退したって本当？
2001年の結婚を機に芸能界を引退
残念ですが引退してしまったようです。引退直前までは2時間ドラマなどによく出演されていましたね。
