引退の理由はいろいろな憶測が飛び交っているみたいです。桜井さん自身が「私は芸能界には合わない」とすっと思っていたとか、共演者に嫌われて干されたなど。確かに桜井さんはドラマで共演した人とはその後交流を持たないんだとか。でもスタッフからは真面目で良い子と、とても評判がよかったということなので、人見知りで話をしなかったために、共演者からは愛想が悪いと思われてしまったのでしょうか？
