1991年、アイドルグループ「桜っ子クラブさくら組」の一員としてテレビ朝日系「桜子っ子クラブ」に出演。

桜っ子クラブさくら組に加入したことがデビューのきっかけだったようです。このアイドルグループには今も活躍されている菅野美穂さん、中谷美紀さんもいらっしゃいましたね。
どんな活動をしていた？
1991年～1994年と約3年間に渡って放送していた「桜っ子クラブ」が終了を迎え、その後テレビ出演等は減りましたが 1993年 にテレビ東京系列で放送していた「スーパーマリオクラブ」（SUPER MARIO CLUB)の司会を本田理沙さんの後任として抜擢され当時の子供たちから人気を集めていました。その後も任天堂一社提供の番組で5年に渡って、渡辺徹さんんと共に司会を務めました。
大人気だったクイズ番組にも
1990年～1994年に日本テレビ系で放送されていたクイズ番組「マジカル頭脳パワー」にレギュラー出演していました。珍回答連発で笑いをとることもありましたね。
アイドル歌手としても活躍
1992年7月25日シングル「今度私どこか連れていって下さいよ」（森高千里の同名曲のカバー）で歌手デビュー
